Bloomberg | A majority of ConocoPhillips investors rebuffed the company’s board to back a full-scope emissions reductions target at its annual meeting today, according to the environmental group that filed the proposal.
58% of investors voted in favor the proposal by Amsterdam-based Follow This that asks Conoco to include Scope 3 emissions in their greenhouse gas reduction targets, the group said in a statement
“This sets a standard for the oil industry in the U.S. and sets a high bar for the upcoming votes at Equinor, BP, P66, Shell, and Chevron,” Follow This says.
